HOW CAN I BOOK?

Booking a photography session for your cat or dog is easy. You can book online here on our website through our booking system. If you don't see a time that works for you, make sure to fill out our Waiting List so you can get first dibs on future dates with us. We release new dates every month so rest assured we will have something for you!

A $20 booking fee is required to hold your spot. Once your time is booked, you will see a link to fill out our Pet Information form, which will gives us insights about your pet so we can prepare ourselves for the shoot.

Question 2

WHAT ARE THE PAYMENT OPTIONS?

Accepted Answer

At the moment, we work with e-transfer. We will send all the information for you when you book. A booking fee of $20 is necessary to hold your spot (at the time of booking), and the rest of the amount is due on the day of the session! If you choose to get extra photos in the end, we will send you an invoice to pay the remaining amount.

DO YOU HAVE ANY DISCOUNTS OR SALES?

We usually don't offer discounts or sales but keep a look out for special events such as Black Friday. If you want to be the first to know about new open dates, make sure to follow us on Instagram!

We are planning on having a milestone giveaway once we reach 1k followers on Instagram, so share our page with all your friends and family!

Question 4

HOW CAN I  PREPARE FOR THE PHOTOSHOOT DAY?

Accessories:
This is totally up to you! I have treats, toys and props with me, but if you would like something specific, such as their favourite snack, ball or a special prop you want to see in the photos, that is more than welcomed! Some examples of props can be: head accessories, sweaters, costumes, their favourite bed, bandana, bow, bubbles and more.
Grooming:
For the super furry pups, it's recommended a visit to your favourite groomer 1 to 2 weeks before the shoot (or you can do it yourself). The important thing to do is a bit of a trim on their faces to make sure their eyes are not going to be hidden by the hair. For long-haired cats (and dogs as well), a good brush before the shoot goes a long way!

Feeding:
There will be a lot of treats involved in the photo session! We recommend not feeding or feeding less to your pup or cat before the session so they can be very interested in the treats, and so their stomach doesn't feel bad. We have healthy treat options that you can choose from, or bring your own.

Lifestyle Sessions:
For lifestyle sessions where you, the parents, appear more often in our photos with the pets, we recommend clothing with neutral tones, little to no patterns and no brands, if possible. That will make sure your photos look clean and beautiful, without too much information going on (the focus is on your pets after all!).

Other Observations:
It's a good idea to take your best friend on a walk before the shoot for his/her necessities (if you know what I mean). This will make them more comfortable and at ease during the shoot.

There is no need to spend all their energy before the photoshoot, we like the pups and kitties playful and 100% themselves! Usually they will be tired by the end of the shoot and we will be able to catch some more chill poses.

WHERE DO THE PHOTOSHOOTS HAPPEN?

The Studio Experience for Dogs:

We have a small (but cozy) home studio with all our set up ready to receive you and your fur baby. Relax, have a cup of coffee, and watch while your best friend has lots of fun with us!

The Studio Experience for Cats:

Since cats usually are not comfortable leaving their safe place, we will go to your home with our mobile studio! All we need is an empty space to set up and we are good to go.

Lifestyle:

Lifestyle photoshoots can happen in a variety of different places! For dogs, common places are outdoor parks, your backyard or even inside your home for a cozy session. For cats, in-home sessions are the most common, but if your kitty is okay with going out, backyards or a quick walk in a quiet place works as well! Check out our Portfolio page for photo examples.

WHAT TO EXPECT AT THE TIME OF THE SESSION?

For cat photoshoots, in the comfort of your home, the good thing is that your kitty is already comfy and happy to be there. When we arrive, we'll set everything up at the desired location and introduce ourselves. We'll condition your cat to the background, camera, lights and everything else to make sure they aren't scared, and then the fun may begin!

For dogs, when arriving at our studio, they will have lots of new information and smells to explore. We will let them get used to the environment, and introduce ourselves. We’ll get them used to the gear, lights and give them lots of treats in the process! The photos will start, and you can sit back and relax with a cup of coffee while we take the photos.

For photos on location, such as parks, make sure to arrive to the spot a bit before our scheduled booking. This will allow some time to your dog/cat to get used to their surroundings and sniff everything, before we get there. After we arrive, we'll introduce ourselves, give some good hugs and kisses, of course, and start conditioning your pet to the gear. The photos start right after that!

MY DOG/CAT IS SHY. HOW DOES THAT WORK?

We make sure to start every session slowly, giving time for your pet to get used to us and the equipment. Our mission is to make them as comfortable and happy as possible so they enjoy the process!

Question 8

IS IT SAFE FOR MY DOG OR CAT TO GO OFF LEASH?

Accepted Answer

That is entirely up to you! Usually, no collars or leashes are necessary for our Studio sessions since they will be safe and sound in our studio or in your home. For outdoor locations, I recommend dogs without leashes so we are able to catch them in action (but it is still entirely up to you at the end of the day).

CAN I BE IN THE PICTURES WITH MY PET?

Of course! Family photos are totally welcomed and those are always very special. For studio sessions, I will invite you to join your best friend at the end for a few clicks. Lifestyle sessions allow more of the family with the pets and we absolutely love registering those moments.

Question 10

CAN I CHOOSE THE COLOUR OF MY BACKDROP?

For sure! We have a basic grey backdrop for our studio sessions that will later be modified digitally, with different colours to choose from. We will provide you with some options that fit the colours of your pet once we send out the proofs for you to choose.

The advantage of this method is that you can have pictures with different backgrounds in only one session.

Question 11

WHAT ABOUT AFTER THE SESSION?

I will start working on editing your photos after the photoshoot. There is a 3 to 4-week turnaround period for all the final photos to be ready (Halloween and Christmas Minis are an exception and usually get ready faster). When everything is done, I will send you 15 to 20 digital photos to choose from, depending on your package.

You will also choose the photos you want printed for the final product, depending on which package you chose. The printed photos are chosen among your digitals.

Question 12

I CAN'T CHOOSE. CAN I BUY MORE PHOTOS?

Of course! You can get as many as you'd like. Each extra photo has a different price depending on the package you chose.
For the Basic package, each extra photo costs $30. For the Standard package, extra photos go for $20 each, and for the Premium package, the cost is $10 per extra photo.

Question 13

LIFE HAPPENED. CAN I RESCHEDULE OR CANCEL MY SESSION?

Accepted Answer

Yes, of course! You can reschedule your photoshoot up to 1 week before the session day. Your deposit will be returned to you or can be transferred to a new session date if you prefer.

If for some reason you need to reschedule or cancel less than 7 days before the session, your deposit won't be refundable, but can be reused for a future day when you decide to rebook with us!
